Northern Youth Services Inc.

Northern Youth Services Inc. is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to deliver services to young persons in conflict with the law who require detention, custody or who are involved with the Community Support Team, Non Residential Attendance Centre, or Youth Justice Family Worker in the community.

NYS strives to create an environment that is as least intrusive as possible and that encourages success with services that are non-discriminatory, in an environment that takes into account ethno-cultural, racial, linguistic and ancestral diversity. It is the belief of the agency that the attainment of this goal is best achieved by creating programs that are rehabilitative, and relevant to the individual needs of young persons without compromise to society’s right of protection from criminal behaviour.
